Business Development Manager

We are looking for our next Business Development Manager

As part of strengthening our Commercial & Business Development department, we are looking for a new colleague who can join us in identifying prospects and tailoring solutions to deliver excellent results to our customers.

We are looking for a candidate that is flexible, self-driven and motivated by learning. We work in a matrix organization where initiative and empowerment is important.

Some of the things you will be doing

• Manages and coordinates marketing surveillance and intelligence
• Manages pre-tender customer liaison and supports tender processes.
• Leads the development of client solutions
• Prioritizes and recommends prioritization for selection of prospects to pursue
• Inputs to and manages the client relationship management database and prospect mapping tool
• Facilitates and coordinates initial customer approach and manages customer liaison through viability assessments, expression of interest, and prequalification stages (i.e. up to formal tender preparation).
• Assists the development of key business development strategy documents and papers
• Assists the coordination of viability assessments, feasibility and engineering studies as required to support the technical definition for potential projects.
• Prepares expression of interest documentation and pre-qualifications for potential customers.
• Assists the preparation of board papers and board updates for tenders.
• Assists with general marketing activities (both external and internal), and preparation of marketing / sales materials.
• Assists with the development of key corporate strategy documents
  • Annual business strategy / development plan
  • Annual marketing strategy and implementation plan
• Coordinates annual customer relationship surveys, assists the customer improvement plan and monitors operations’ actions against the plan.

What we are looking for

• You hold a relevant education on bachelor level or higher and have +10 years’ experience within the oil and gas industry, including minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position on business development, and initialization of new projects
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, in English and Norwegian
• Familiar with managing and working with a multi-disciplined team / task force
• Organized with a systematic approach; a self-starter who is proactive and able to independently prioritize your tasks and meet deadlines
• You are a team player but have the ability to work independently as well
• You have interpersonal skills being able to build strong relationships and influence others
