There is a variety of trainings, workshops, mentoring as well as on the job learning happening every day. Our project teams incorporate new ideas continuously and share across borders and regions. 

 

Responsibilities and tasks

However, there is a need to systemize and design more structured approaches to this sharing of knowledge in the organization, capitalizing on the developments that are happening. 

The main task for our new Special Adviser will be to develop the learning and development capacity in NRC. Included in this is strengthening the use of varied learning approaches across NRC, as well as securing adult learning principles when putting together new curriculum. You will be the main counterpart for Subject Matter Experts in this regard. 

As technology is playing an increasingly important part, we expect you to be on top of new technology such as e-learning, gamification and other tools enhancing learning.

Supported by the Talent Management team, you will begin with a full review of Learning & Development in NRC with a particular focus on how it can support talent management and retention. 

You will through this work help the helpers in being more qualified and more motivated for the important work they do every day. 

The most important responsibilities are:

· Build the Learning & Development area in NRC

· Support subject matter experts with pedagogical insights in their development of curriculum for different levels in the  organization 

· Inspire in terms of current and future learning methods and tools

 

Qualifications

We expect that you offer:

· Formal education and documented experience in pedagogy (adult learning principles)

· Experience from developing the learning and development area in similar organization and contexts

· Skills, interest and proven experience with instructional design using learning technology and tools

We offer

The position is a permanent position based in the HR department at the NRC Head Office in Oslo. The contract conditions are as per national NRC Oslo terms of employment.
