Our team in Trondheim delivers safety related consulting services to a range of industries, advising our clients on how to best handle hazardous materials. Key industries that we serve include the oil & gas industry, the petrochemical industry and industries handling flammable dust. From Trondheim we are working with clients locally and globally, and in close collaboration with Gexcon's other offices worldwide.
Due to an increasing demand for our services we are expanding our Trondheim team. We are looking for a motivated individual with a strong basis in engineering or science, who wants to take part in making industries safer.
Gexcon develops and maintains the FLACS software package and is also the exclusive global license provider for Shell's risk management software tools. Part of the work will be learning and using these tools, and a strong data technical basis will therefore be helpful.
Experience within safety consulting services is an asset, but not a requirement. Job applications in Norwegian and English are both welcome.
Tasks
- Contributing to and managing projects within relevant areas
- Qualitative and quantitative risk analysis
- Modelling the frequency for and development of accidents
- Modelling the consequence of accidents (using Gexcon's CFD software package and other tools)
- HAZID / HAZOP workshops
- Answering technical safety issues
- Help develop and maintain Gexcon's commercial relationship with clients
- Help develop and maintain Gexcon's software package, through creative use in projects
Qualifications
- Master's or PhD, preferably in engineering, math or natural sciences
- Strong communication skills in English and Norwegian (written and spoken)
- Preferably experience from safety related consulting services
- Preferably experience with project management
- New graduates with excellent academic records are also encouraged to apply
