We are looking for our next Senior Technical Safety Engineer

You will be part of the Technical Department in Trondheim that provides support to all Teekay Offshore Production Assets and Projects globally.

As we wish to strengthen our focus on technical safety, we are looking for a new colleague who can join us in developing a self-driven matrix organization to deliver excellent results to our customers.

You will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring that good technical solutions are implemented in new projects and in modifications of existing installations.

Further you will be responsible of providing support related to technical safety in close co-operation with the operations teams both onshore and offshore.

We are looking for a candidate that is flexible, self-driven and motivated by learning. We work in a matrix organization where initiative and empowerment is important.

Some of the things you will be doing

• Operations support related to technical safety systems
• Initiate, follow-up and review safety studies
• Participate in modifications related to the FPSOs
• Participate in project work - from preparation of specifications and tenders to implementation
• Contribute as necessary in investigations, inspections and audits onshore and offshore

What we are looking for

• You hold a relevant technical education on bachelor level or higher and have minimum 10 years relevant experience within working area.
• You are familiar with relevant rules, regulations and standards within your area of responsibility, especially for Brazilian, UK and Norwegian offshore continental shelves.
• The right candidate is someone who understands that Technical Safety is an important part of the value we bring to our business.
• We are looking for a candidate who is structured, analytical and a true problem solver with good communication skills.
• You are a team player but have the ability to work independently as well.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English is demanded and Norwegian language is preferable.
• You must be flexible on travels both onshore and offshore.
