As we wish to strengthen our focus on Mechanical Completion and Commissioning, we are looking for a new colleague who can join us in developing a self-driven matrix organization to deliver excellent results to our customers.

Your key responsibility is to act as subject matter expert (SME) within the discipline Mechanical Completion and Commissioning. You will be responsible to ensure that Teekay Offshore Production (TOP) has adequate procedures, systems, skills and resources to complete these tasks successfully within each project being executed.

You will participate in establishing required contract vs. engineering contractors, package suppliers, Yard, etc. to ensure all TOP requirements are included and act as SME within these negotiations. Further, you will be responsible and system owner for PIMS Completion Management System (CMS), including ensuring that training and required resources are available for the Project team to fully utilize the system.

The job require that you support the project MC and Commissioning Leads and if required assist the project at the yard with oversight in this process or be part of the onboard team to support the offshore commissioning and start-up phase. You must ensure that MC and Commissioning strategies and approaches are fully aligned versus operation and clients’ start-up process and requirements established by authorities.

Some of the things you will be doing

• Promote HSE awareness.
• Establish and maintain standard procedures, check sheets and plans for FAT’s, SAT’s and the MC & Commissioning processes utilizing TOP’s established systems and procedures in close interaction with Operation to enable a flawless start-up of the FPSO.
• Establish standard system prioritization tables for the MC and Commissioning process for each project in close cooperation with the Project Team and Operation, and ensure that these are aligned with the start-up sequence at the field.
• Act as SME within the area of FAT, SAT, MC & Commissioning during contract negotiation with third parties.
• Develop budgets and Organization for the FAT, SAT, MC & Commissioning phase of the project to form part of recommended PMT costs, commissioning spares and first fill on systems and equipment.
• Support the Project manager in recruitment and establishment of the MC & Commissioning Team and involved supplier representatives.
• Review and comment on project specific FAT, SAT, MC & Commissioning procedures.
• Ensure PIMS CMS is implemented and set-up correctly for each project, including satisfying project specific requirements.
• Support the project with training, advice or support on site as required.
• Ensure that projects issues Lessons Learned within this area and own the implementation of these into the TOP management system.
• Monitor the formal quality and adherence to the MC&Commissioning process by the PMT.

What we are looking for

• You hold a relevant education on Master level or higher and have minimum 10 years of experience within Commissioning in large offshore projects.
• The right candidate is someone who possesses excellent leadership-, management- and interpersonal skills and are able to utilize these in multi-disciplined project teams.
• You understand that by showing excellent coaching- and training skills, you will get the most out of your surroundings.
• You have a good understanding of risk management and can translate this understanding into your daily work.
• You must be willing to be stationed at project site or potentially offshore which require relevant offshore certificates.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written English, are required including report writing and presentation skills.
