Salesforce System Administrator in a leading humanitarian organisation!

Do you want to join a growing team of professionals driving digital transformation in one of the world's leading humanitarian organisations? Does working among 6,000+ colleagues across the Norwegian Refugee Council to leverage technology in providing assistance to over 8 million people in more than 30 countries across the globe sound like the right challenge for you? As a Salesforce System Administrator you will work on the configuration and roll out of NRC's new project management information system as well as supporting other pilot initiatives.

The position

Based in one of our duty stations (either in Oslo or Berlin), you will be part of the ICT Digital Transformation unit and collaborate with colleagues across different functions and locations. As a Salesforce System Administrator on a global project, you will travel to numerous countries and interact with hundreds of staff across many cultures. You'll apply your skills by contributing to the design, configuration and maintenance of the project management information system, and at the same time work with end-users to constantly improve it to meet their needs. You will play an important part in the system roll out, user training and support as NRC's staff mature in their use of the solution.

This is initially an 18-months position with possibility of extension. A full Job Description is attached to this advert, please consult it carefully.

You

You are an enthusiast learner, curious about people and what they aim to achieve in their work. You enjoy a challenge and love to explore a problem through its many angles. You are passionate about technology and continue to grow your knowledge about solutions. You are comfortable with not having all the answers yet, but keen and resolute to figure things out. You can collaborate across cultures and functional units. You believe in collaboration, building bridges and breaking silos. You see the glass half full, but don't hold back in calling a spade a spade.

You may have a degree in Computer Science related fields or have hands-on experience in databases or CRM solutions. If you've worked with Salesforce technology before, that's great; otherwise we'll support and expect you to learn all you can about it. In your application, please make sure to give us examples of the work you've done in the past and attach a portfolio of projects/examples.

The organisation

The Norwegian Refugee Council is an independent humanitarian organisation helping people forced to flee. We work in crises across 31 countries, where we help save lives and rebuild futures. As part of the 2018 - 2020 global strategy, one of our four top ambitions is to become a leader in the use of data and technology to deliver aid better. To achieve this NRC is currently building its digital capacity through the creation of a new digital team and investing in a number of digital solutions. The Project Management Information System that is being built on the Salesforce platform is one of these.

The recruitment process

As work on the project management information system is well under way, NRC is keen to recruit a great candidate as soon as reasonably possible. NRC will regularly review incoming applications and may opt to engage with early applicants. Selected candidates will undergo a first technical interview via Skype and, the successful ones will advance to a second interview involving Human Resources. Depending on location and travel costs, final candidates may be invited for an in-person interview with NRC staff (covering travel and accommodation).

To apply, please follow the "Apply for Position" button on the top-right of the screen on vacancy announcement page that will take you to the WebCruiter portal.
