Facility Manager

We are looking for a positive and efficient manager of our sites and facilities. The position will be responsible for the head quarter site in Kongsberg and lead and coordinate the site responsibles at the other sites (e.g. Horten and Asker).

We believe the right candidate has the ability to plan ahead while also effectively handle ad hoc situations and needs that suddenly arise. The position will be a central part in ensuring that Kongsberg Maritimes employees have a safe, healthy and functioning workplace. The position will collaborate closely with responsibles for IT, HSE, Security, HR, Quality, janitors, craftsmen, supply chain as well as owners of the facilities. 

The position will report to the Executive Vice President Business Support.

 Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Plan and budget all necessary maintenance of relevant facilities
• Coordinate refurbishments of facility when required
• Coordinate and follow up contract with suppliers relevant to facilities
• Responsible for access control and physical building security
• Coordinate and cooperate with facilities emergency response systems
• Personnel responsibility for site managers and site personnel
• Follow up necessary improvement activities on environment according to the company ISO 14k certificate
• Security responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes  site Kongsberg
• Create and maintain necessary processes and procedures for the facility function to work effectively

Requirements:

• Bachelor or other relevant education
• Knowledge of security standards, laws and regulations related to facility management
• Knowledge and competence within emergency response
• The position will require security clearance
• Fluent in oral and written English
