In a world where drones are rapidly becoming omniprevalent, we offer an ambitious individual the opportunity to become a part of the subsea segment of this new world. Your role will be to work with providers of subsea vehicles across Europe to improve their ability to navigate under water. The primary product is referred to as a "Doppler Velocity Log" (DVL) and you will be backed by an excellent team of experts in acoustics, electronics, and mechanical engineering. The product has been on the market for three years and is already established as an international reference in accuracy and quality.
The focus of the business developer is to maintain and improve our relationship with designers and manufacturers of AUVs and ROVs in Europe. You will be responsible for both maintaining existing customers and finding new potential clients. Your work includes customer visits, arranging demonstrations and training courses, participating at international conference, and working with our international distributors.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect new customers and maintain existing customers.
- Develop a solid understanding of the European market for DVL applications including commercial ROV and AUV operations, military projects, university research and new navigation/control systems.
- Develop a European DVL sales plan and take full responsibility for the European sales performance. Work close with our Nortek subsidiaries and distribution network in Europe.
- Develop and conduct instructional workshops, highlighting DVL performance, capability and applications.
- Develop collaborative projects working closely with our engineering and product team.
- Understand the technology and have a “hands on” approach to the technology at a level where you can train someone new to the field.
Qualifications:
- Five years of international sales experience – building new customer relations and prospecting with documented results.
- Experience from subsea engineering instrumentation or other relevant subsea background.
- Demonstrated commercial success selling to organizations such as system integrators, service companies, governments and military.
