About our product FINN.no is one of Norway's signature services, with over 15 years of continuous innovation FINN.no has grown to be one of the most used and recognized services in Norway. These days nearly 60% of all visits to FINN.no from a mobile phone come from our native apps and around half of these are from iPhones. Every week there over 400 000 people using our iOS app and they spend on average one hour in the app every week. About working at FINN:noWe released our first iOS app in 2011 and our first Android app in 2012. Right from the start, our strategy has been to build our apps ourselves in a team dedicated to native app development. Developers are given a lot of freedom and responsibility for how our app works. FINN.no has 130 developers working on web, microservices, messaging systems, machine learning and recommendations. About the FINN iOS app Our iOS app uses view controller containment, transitions with custom animations, YapDatabase, CoreSpotlight, Universal Links, Handoff, custom UICollectionViewLayouts as well as our own open source components (https://github.com/finn-no). New features are written in Swift and we strive to keep up to date with the newest SDK version. About iOS Technical Domain Expert As an iOS Technical Domain Expert (TDE) you are the go-to person for providing feedback on the latest trends, following up on technical decisions and architecture discussions, as well as being responsible for the stability and release cycle of the iOS app. You will work alongside our Android Technical Domain Expert and experienced Android and iOS developers. It's also expected that you'll guide and mentor other iOS developers in FINN and contribute to Schibsted's global iOS community. The position reports to the Platform Apps Space Lead.
You are

An experienced iOS developer and have been pushing the limits of iOS for over 4 years now
You know what makes a great app and always strive for shipping the best user experiences
You like collaborating with people and taking initiative in following up with issues
You like working with architecture and discussing with your peers on the best ways of solving a problem
You encourage collaborating and enjoy helping your teammates deliver their best work
You collaborate well with designers and product owners
(Plus) You are keen on sharing knowledge, enjoy making blog posts or giving talks
(Plus) You have experience working with backends and understand what it takes to make great APIs
