DOF Management is seeking a Category Manager.

We are looking for candidates for the following position: Category Manager - DOF Management AS.

The Category Manager will have the responsibility to drive cost reductions and improvements for DOF within assigned procurement categories across the DOF fleet. This includes responsibility for developing category strategies, cost reduction plans, and the execution of these.

The Category Manager shall establish relationships with internal stakeholders globally and a cross-functional category approach in DOF to execute strategic procurement initiatives aimed at sustainable and continuous cost reductions within the category while supporting the requirements from operations.

The Category Manager will operate in a team reporting directly to the Chief Procurement Officer.

Qualifications required for the position:
- Min BSc. degree or similar within relevant studies;
- At least 5 years’ experience from strategic procurement positions, preferably within category management or procurement management;
- Previous specific category experience within the offshore supply chain is preferred;
- A successful track record from strategic procurement roles;
- Successful track record of effectively leading and developing cross-functional teams;
- Experience in developing and executing category strategies;
- Solid working experience from performing cost reductions activities and tenders;
- Strong negotiator with experience in formalizing both frame agreements and project contracts with suppliers.

Personal skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including senior management;
- Strong analytical skills, including MS Excel skills;
- Ability to manage cost reduction initiatives including taking ownership and delivering results;
- An action oriented, entrepreneurial, flexible and innovative approach to continuously driving cost reduction activities.
