The Vendor Manager is responsible for building and managing relationships with those external companies who supply IT products and services to the organization ensuring that vendors meet or exceed their contractual obligations.
 Key accountabilities:

• Build strong relationships with the assigned suppliers, that are open, trusted and effective in understanding both parties perspectives, ensuring structured management is in place and the suppliers are appropriately engaged to ensure Gard gets the best value from them
• Evaluate potential suppliers using developed and agreed criteria to support alignment and understanding of the expectations and requirements of engagement
• Monitor and report on the performance of selected vendors to ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations and performance metrics
• Manage outward communication to vendors to facilitate understanding and awareness of organizational strategic direction, changes and challenges
• Manage the interaction between vendors and internal stakeholders to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs
• Review, report on and revise contractual agreements as necessary
• Cooperate closely with Group Legal and Business Controlling to monitor the legal and financial aspects of potential contractual agreements

Skills and requirements:

• Experience with managing the balance in vendor relationships and agreements to support the achievement of agreed commercial outcomes
• Proven track record of negotiation skills
• Structured and thorough in regards of following up on Service Line Agreements
• Ability of working with multiple projects at one time
• Background from law, IT or business at Master level
