About

The project HSSE role will be part of the Project Management teams, to ensure involvement in key project decisions. As HSSE is a supporting function, most of the HSSE work scope is providing input into and cooperating with other functions' workscopes. The project HSSE role should be involved in and support other functions in their execution of their HSSE responsibilities during options selection, design and offshore completion.

The degree of involvement required from the HSSE role will vary with factors such as project scope, risk profile and complexity. It is essential that at the start of each stage of the project there is a clear understanding of which HSSE interfaces are required, to ensure smooth and timely progress of the project to the next stage.

Responsibilities

Ensure that HSSE requirements and responsibilities as described in the Modification Projects HSSE Management Programs are appropriately communicated
Develop and update the project HSSE Management Program
Provide guidance and assess any impacts on HSSE-related aspects from proposed decisions and project changes
Provide HSSE input into contractors and other functions' activities and deliverables, and verify timely integration of HSSE aspects into design and offshore completion
Verify sufficient HSSE support and involvement from specialist HSSE roles, and contribute to sufficient safety delegate involvment in the projects. Coordinate support as required
Provide information to the project on existing HSSE related documentation that could impact the project
Provide risk based HSSE assurance support to verify compliance with regulatory and Company HSSE requirements in the Company and contractor project organisations
Define project HSSE activities and deliverables, and contribute to self-assessment against decision requirements
Support project related learning and ensure continual improvement of project HSSE management
Facilitate workshops to identify project related regulatory required communication and existing commitments. Verify that specific actions related to these are documented, addressed and completed according to plan
Involvement in call-off/contract development and contractor management and interfaces
Participate in planning and performing of project HSSE related reviews and studies, verify that HSSE related hazards are appropriately addressed
Facilitate workshops to identify project related external environment aspects

Responsibilities cont

Provide HSSE input to risk identification, ranking and management. Verify that HSSE actions are managed and closed with appropriate evidence
Provide input to risk based approach to HSSE presentations, HSSE engagement sessions, offshore departure seminar input etc
Verify that HSSE related information is documented and included in handover to Operations
Support project event management processes as required

Required expertise

Relevant Bachelor or Master degree
A Bachelor degree with relevant practical experience can be considered equivalent with a Master degree.
Minimum 5 years engineering experience within HSSE / Projects
Offshore experience will be considered an advantage.
