The U.S. Embassy seeks Security Guards

SECURITY GUARDS 

The U.S. Embassy in Oslo invites qualified candidates to apply for full-time Security Guard positions. We can offer work in a unique environment with opportunities for personal and professional development in the security field.

To be considered for this position you must meet ALL f the following qualification criteria: 

• Completion of secondary school is required

• 3 years of experience in security related duties is required.

• Norwegian oral and written level A2  (or equivalent) is required.

• Good working knowledge of English is required.

• Valid driver's license class B is required.

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently is required.

All applications MUST include:

• CV and covering letter in English setting out your motivation for applying for the position, and addressing how you meet each of the qualification requirements.

• Certificate of completion of secondary school, or highest level of education (if higher).

• Test certificate of Norwegian language (oral and written) level A2 (non-native Norwegian speakers).

• Copy of your driver's license (class B).

• Copy of your proof of eligibility to live and work in Norway (e.g. passport, permanent residence card, or registration proof).

The annual salary for the position is NOK 375,094, plus benefits as contained in our local compensation plan.

To be eligible for employment at the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, applicants must have the right to live and work in Norway. The Embassy does not sponsor work permits. Please note that the Embassy will not be able to meet travel or subsistence costs incurred when participating in interviews, nor the costs connected with relocation if offered a position.
