And we deliver turnkey projects and offer advanced service programs to our customers. We are now looking for a Senior Project Engineering Lead for our High Voltage team in Norway.

Role Summary/Purpose

This position is mainly targeted for large transmission projects that will involve coordination across multiple countries’ engineering teams (UK, France, Germany) and will be responsible for Norway scope leading the coordination of multiple external contractors and dealing directly with senior engineering levels within customer organizations. 

Essential Responsibilities

• Technical lead of electrical design and engineering of large and complex EHV/HV substation projects (air-insulated substations AIS/gas-insulated substations GIS)
• Develop technical concept, single line diagrams, layouts, clearance checks, primary engineering
• Prepare subsystem specifications, specify ratings, check supplier offers / designs and interfaces, auxiliary design
• Prepare bill of quantities & cost estimation, deviations and clarifications, review of factory acceptance tests plan, attend factory / site testing - Instruct, supervise and coordinate engineering teams within GE, internal and external partners, sub-suppliers, secondary engineers and civil engineers.
• Lead and attend discussions with customers, handle site queries and take necessary actions.
• Customer in focus:

Work closely with the customer to shape and deliver solutions, seeking feedback and innovating with the customer to drive and deliver improvements. Attend project meetings and present all technical aspects of project assignments. Interact with officials, contractors, suppliers and others. Assist Sales in large turnkey tenders.

Qualifications/Requirements

• M.Sc or B.Sc in Engineering with Power Electronics or HV Power System degree.
• Significant experience from similar industry
• Need to speak and write fluent Norwegian and English
• It is a plus if you have a HV & LV Installation certification.
