QA & HSE Manager

This role is a management position reporting directly to the Raufoss Plant Manager, with a matrix reporting structure into the Director of Quality for the Couplings Business Unit. 

The post holder will be responsible for the quality assurance of all components purchased, manufactured and sold in compliance with established customer and company standards. The post holder will also manage the Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) processes within the assigned plant.  

The manager will have personnel responsibility.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining quality/HSE procedures, systems, and strategic objectives that will meet or exceed all requirements under Kongsberg Automotive's corporate quality/HSE programs
• Ensure compliance to all Kongsberg Automotive requirements, as well as meeting specific customer requirements
• Ensure compliance with all external regulating agency requirements
• Lead QAHSE activities in all projects and new programs, ensure change management process adherence
• Lead the PPAP/First Parts Process
• Lead administration of external RMA, NCMR, and 8D activities
• Lead corrective action process in response to customer concerns and/or internally identified areas of opportunity
• Evaluate current procedures to identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Review, revise and maintain Plant Quality and HSE manuals
• Ensure all annual training for plant personnel is occurring for both quality and HSE programs
• Lead and drive all activities to maintain ISO:14001 and TS 16469 certifications
• Provide information on metrics, measurement, performance, and other reports as required
• Coach, develop, support and effectively manage a High Performing Team

The ideal candidate should have:

• Educated to degree level in relevant BSc or MSc would be ideal, though significant relevant experience may also be considered.
• Five or more years of Quality Management experiences, with an emphasis on ISO: 14001 and TS 16949 environment. IATF 16949 knowledge / experience preferred
• Demonstrable experiences using quality tools and techniques, such as FMEA, PFMEA and 8D problem solving skills. Lean and Six Sigma Experience (Green Belt/Black Belt) would be an advantage.  
• Excellent English skills, both written and oral.

We are looking for a candidate that is comfortable working within a dynamic, faced-paced environment. The ability to handle multiple projects is essential for success. A "roll-up your sleeve, can-do, collaborative" approach is critical.

As a member of the senior management team of the plant, excellent leadership abilities and a demonstrated ability to effectively influence others is essential.
