The business area Market Operations (M) delivers value by commercially optimising, leveraging and developing Statkrafts flexible generation portfolio as well as maintaining and growing a strong and sustainable presence within the trading, origination and customers market.
You will be part of the Market Regulations & Compliance team which promotes compliance with EU's regulations on market integrity and abuse, post-trade risk management and client protection. The departments mandate covers market regulations (i.e. EMIR, REMIT, MAR, MIFID II) for all Statkraft entities. The compliance team is currently located in Oslo and Düsseldorf.
To strengthen our activities within Compliance for Market Regulations, we are looking to add a fourth member to our team.
Your role
- Investigate trading patterns flagged by Statkrafts trade surveillance system, liaising closely with the surveillance system operator, other compliance officers and the business
- Identify trading patterns that may violate relevant rules or internal policies prohibiting insider trading or market manipulation
- Analyse, manage and resolve potential issues identified in this connection
- Evaluate the system calibrations for flagging trading patterns, and propose changes as appropriate
- Design and carry out a program of other checks on trading and trade support activities to test Statkrafts level of compliance with REMIT, EMIR, MIFID II and MAR.
- Coordinate and administer a regulatory compliance training program for Statkraft employees, with particular focus on market abuse regulations
- Take on other compliance-related assignments or projects as required
The position will be located in Oslo or Düsseldorf.
Your profile
- Relevant Masters degree
- Experience in trade surveillance or trading preferred, or other experience within a trading environment from an audit, breach detection, settlement, risk monitoring or similar function
- Good understanding of market regulations, or a keenness to learn
- Analytical mind set and general systems proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solution driven, confident, highly motivated
- Organized and detail oriented
- Team player but able to operate independently
- Project or project management experience would be an advantage
- Good communication skills in English, both orally and written. Fluency in either Norwegian or German will be an advantage
