Controller - Regulatory reporting

Norwegian Hull Club is a mutual marine insurance company serving members and clients worldwide and has a history dating back to 1837. The Club ranks among the largest pure marine insurers in the world and has offices in Bergen, Oslo, Kristiansand and London. The Club’s vision is to be the leading marine insurer in assessing and managing risk.

The new position is based in the Business Intelligence Department in Bergen. The department currently consists of four employees.

Job description

Your main responsibility will be to prepare various regulatory reports for submission. This includes Solvency II reporting, FORT reporting and foreign regulatory reporting. Other key tasks are to further develop and automate reporting processes and controls and to monitor development in regulatory requirements.

The position shall also support the investment mid office function and will be involved in internal and external ad-hoc queries. The position will work closely with business intelligence, compliance, investment and accounting functions.

Your background

Experience in advanced use of Microsoft Excel (including SQL queries) is required. Experience from audit, controller functions etc. is relevant, but we also encourage students to apply. In addition to the technical skills, you should be able to assess regulatory requirements. Experience with insurance, reinsurance, accounting and investment data is not required, but beneficial. You should be systematic, efficient, autonomous and enduring.

Education

Bachelor level required, Master lever preferred.
