Rope Axcess Technician Team Lead, Rig Inspection Services

Odfjell Drilling Technology, Rig Inspection Services has dedicated and QHSE-oriented resources serving the following areas:

• Rope Access Technician (RAT), NDT Drilling Annuals & 5 YR Class
• Specialist Lifting & Rigging (Derrick & Moonpool)
• Derrick Services all Mechanical, EL & Fabrications
• Offshore Construction Management

This position will report to the RIS Key Account Manager Norway and will be a part of the ODT, RIS Norway. The primary tasks for this position are RAT and inspection work offshore primarily in Norway but also international.

This person will also be RIS Competent person for our RAT activity in Norway.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Class A SOFT Team Leader
• PCN or equivalent qualified and trained in at least two NDT technologies (from MT, ET, UT, DT)
• Good technical understanding and ability to acquire knowledge of new subject areas
• Preferable experience with projects related to drilling facilities or offshore modification projects
• Good oral and written skills in both Norwegian and English
• Good understanding of drilling and drilling equipment
• Minimum 5 years offshore experience

Key tasks:

• Be responsible for implement RIS as a SOFT certification class A, according to NS 9600
• Be competent person for our RAT activity
• Team lead for RAT team offshore
• Perform inspections and construction work offshore
• Track and monitor material, equipment and suppliers for planned installation activities
• Assist the costumer and manager in daily operations and during the project execution phase
• Participate in project and planning meetings, internal and towards customers
• Participate in continuous improvement work within the discipline
