(Senior) Communication Advisor

 Norwegian Hull Club is a mutual marine insurance company serving members and clients worldwide and has a history dating back to 1837. We are seeking a talented, creative and self-driven communication advisor to join our communication and marketing team, that will consist of three team members. The department's main role is to strengthen and develop Norwegian Hull Club's brand through communication and engagement with the Club's stakeholders internally and externally and facilitate marketing of the Club's products and services.

The position is based in our office in Bergen and occasional travel might be required.

Your background

The ideal candidate is passionate about communication and marketing and enjoys working in a dynamic and sometimes hectic environment. You are service minded, flexible, solution-oriented and work well under pressure to meet deadlines. You are positive with a high level of initiative and strong motivation to deliver.

You have university, college or equivalent education in (corporate) communication, journalism, public relations, marketing or social sciences.

Your experience in professional communication entails organizational communication, public relations, marketing or journalism. A combination of communication consulting experience from both agency and internal corporate settings is preferred, but not required.

Your emphasis on integrated communication planning is highly desirable. You have the ability to listen to, engage, and influence stakeholders; synthesise and relate complex information; analyse communication problems and opportunities; and develop and implement integrated communication strategies.

Strong professional communication is a skill of yours and you master English business writing. We will emphasise your ability to write and create content for various channels and platforms.

You carry experience and proficiency with a range of external and internal communication solutions: face-to-face; print and electronic channels; media relations; social media.

You are curious about and inspired by creative media solutions and have the ability to pick up on new communication platforms and techniques quickly.

Ideally, you will also have some experience and skills within graphics, design and programs like Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.

Tasks

Together with the Head of Communication and Marketing, you will be responsible for Norwegian Hull Club's communication activities. You will place an emphasis on key messaging development and deliver results through effective use of initiatives, campaigns and media channels, ensuring integration with Norwegian Hull Club's corporate communication messaging. These activities inform, educate and influence a wide audience internally and externally.
