Solution and Service Engineer / Danfoss Power Electronics & Drives Norway

We are seeking to recruit a Solution & Service Engineer to join our Power Electronics & Drives team in Norway. This role will have a base in our flagship Marine Competency Centre in Holmestrand, and will involve travel to customers in both land-based and marine applications across Norway and further afield.

As our new Solution & Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Service and troubleshoot in our workshop and with customers in Norway and abroad
• Customer support for local and global customers
• Sales of spare parts, service agreements and solutions
• Develop and disseminate technical solutions for ships and offshore applications
• Attend technical meetings with customers
• Order follow-up and retrieval in the company's archive and database systems, including Salesforce
• Contribute to updating customer databases, prices and opportunity management
• Technical support
• Commissioning and training for new installations
• Some project work, prepare project documentation, including SLD, GA drawings and technical descriptions
• More offshore assignments will be expected in the future, as offshore is a focus area in terms of retrofit and proactive maintenance
• Advanced training in hybridization projects of marine and offshore installations

To thrive in this role, we would expect you to display:

• Degree or similar relevant qualification in Electrical Automation (Engineer or Technician)
• Detailed experience of working in a similar related environment, including industry, marine and offshore
• Knowledge and interest in industrial machines and processes
• Ability to travel travel worldwide to customer sites as required
• Strong English skills - both written and spoken, and a good knowledge of Norwegian is an advantage
• Offshore certification is advantageous, but training and support to achieve certification can be offered
• Ability to build positive relationships with customers, and internal stakeholders is a must-have, alongside confort working independently in a service-minded environment
