Purpose of contract follow-up work. Company is an international energy company present in more than 30 countries around the world, executing global projects. Several engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contracts have been awarded to major players in the market. The liability for completing the project according to the contract lies with the contractor, it is important for Company to follow up the building process closely in order to assure the contractor deliver both economically and technically according to the EPC contract and in accordance with Company's business needs and requirements. To ensure such a contractual, safe and efficient project delivery Company will establish a contract follow-up team. The team will perform evaluation, verification, and testing necessary to prove technical and operational requirements specified in the EPC contract as well as other relevant business tasks related to the project as required.01.10.17 - 31.12.19

Johan Sverdrup Project. Process Platform (P1) Korea site and Offshore.

Main Responsibility:

As team member of commissioning contribute to deliver JS according to plan and cost without any HSE deviations to project goals. Commissioning preparation, planning, execution and handover platform to Johan Sverdrup operation Role, responsibilities and tasks: The commissioning engineer shall execute all commissioning activities, including planning, preparation, execution and hand over to Operation/Plant Integrity related to Electro.

Primary Responsibilities:


• Establish and maintain safe working routines during execution of commissioning to ensure that all work performed is made in full compliance with company’s safety regulation to maintain Company’s objectives of zero incidents, injuries and losses.
• Issue and maintain commissioning boundary documentation for efficient construction and commissioning schedules
• Commissioning activities during the entire phase to enable a safe and efficient start-up execution.
• Experience transfer from/to other relevant projects and towards the base organisation.
• Identify and follow up risks and opportunities related to commissioning.
• Evaluate and verify all procedures and work instructions used during commissioning and ensure that those are well understood by relevant personnel.
• Ensure and maintain a close and good relationship to contractor and operation.
• Execute and supervise the performance of commissioning activities.
• Participating in development of, plans/schedules, procedures, routines, ATS requirements, RISK, and work processes for commissioning.
• Execute commissioning according to governing documents
• Identify and propose needed temporaries for commissioning execution
• Participates in weekly commissioning meetings and submits status reports or as per agreement
• Participates in bi-weekly field commissioning meetings or as per agreement
• Participate in relevant engineering and construction meetings to obtain and ensure commissioning task execution.

Competence requirements:

The experience, qualifications and abilities required for this position are as follows:
• Engineering degree or relevant technical degree within Electro.
• Minimum 5 years experience within Electro from oil and gas projects or other relevant experience including field competence.
• Extensive knowledge of Statoil’s governing documentation.
• Well-developed teambuilding, co operational- and communication abilities.
• Ability to handle responsibility and periodically high work load.
• Comfortable with English as working language.

Work Location:

Onshore South Korea. The assignment will be based on Long term expat status.
