Category Manager Software

About the unit
The Indirect Procurement unit oversees all aspects of global procurement for all indirect goods and services, both at a corporate and regional level.
It ensures that sourcing strategies are aligned with the overall business strategies and drive the implementation of improvement initiatives.
The Category Manager Software will be part of the IT Sourcing & Supplier Management Department in Indirect Procurement.
The Sourcing and Supplier Management team is accountable in excess of 350 suppliers with a spend of over 1.500 MNOK per annum.
Category Manager Software will report to the Head of IT Sourcing and Supplier Management and will be located in Oslo.

Responsibilities
• Develop and execute category strategies to deliver on Yara’s business strategies and ambitions within Digital
• Manage sourcing and supplier management of Licensed Software, Software as a Service, Platform as a Service and Infrastructure as a Service
• Manage fast track sourcing processes for DevOps projects
• Ensure procurement of services to projects, agile projects and products are according to requirements
• Manage the review and approval of contracts call-offs with suppliers
• Develop, implement and execute supplier relationship management for new suppliers within Digital
• Follow up supplier performance, identify and execute improvement initiatives on a continuous basis
• Be part of Yara’s Procurement Excellence 2018 program

 
Profile
• Master degree within Business Administration, Law, Engineering or Computer Science. Long relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in IT sourcing and supplier management, and experience within purchasing of Software, preferably as a Service products
• You are an experienced user of Microsoft Office products including experience working efficiently with datasets
• You have good business understanding, and possess creative problem solving skill.  You  enjoy working across cultural and geographical boundaries
• You have analytical skills and ability to work well with metrics, numbers, and trends 
• You are flexible and willing to work independently, as well as part of the team. Ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust
• You are fluent in English ( written and spoken) and have excellent communication skills
