Helly Hansen is looking for a Visual Merchandising Coordinator

We are seeking a person to develop and manage all aspects of visual merchandising for the complete HH Sport and HH Workwear assortment. This starts with preparing the visual merchandising guidelines and continues all the way through to the training of the store employees. Goal is to manage a consistent and exciting store environment throughout the globe, which is relevant to our core consumers.

Tasks and responsibilities: 

Develop and execute visual merchandising guidelines.

Ensure an always focus on improving the consumer touch points. In store implementation of monthly retail campaigns. Assist retail management in developing a more unified and universal Helly Hansen consumer experience which is fully embedded and in line with brand marketing communications and speaks and connects with our target customers. Developing VM guidelines as well as conducting VM workshops will be a key component in the strategy of execution.

Build strong partnerships with marketing, retail operations, planning, merchandising, and creative cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of execution of the direction set.

  • Development and execute global visual merchandising direction for both brand stores and outlets for both HH Sports and HH Workwear. 
  • Drive daily relevance in store.
  • Partner with the assortment planning team on the monthly buying plan based on an optimal store layout across each format, to ensure that visual merchandising is deeply considered.
  • Create innovative interior product presentation concepts that drive positive KPI growth.
  • Develop in store visual merchandisers to act as champions within regions on a daily basis (supported by regional operations).
  • Lead by example: candidate will personally / physically work with average of four doors per month (setting and training combined).
  • Act as a guide on the set up of trade shows to create a consistent set up across different regions.
  • Develop and execute set up for Global Sales Meetings for Sport and WW.
  • International travel required, 30% of time.
  • Experience:
  • 5 years + of visual merchandising management experience with a global sports/apparel retailer
  • Exceptional leadership ability with an eye for design and styling, with demonstrated success in visual merchandising, innovation and implementation.
  • Able to conduct VM trainings/workshops/strong training background.
  • Strong ability to communicate ideas and lead retail ops from conception to implementation
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Able to coordinate parallel running projects, able to prioritize and focus.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, basic knowledge of Illustrator, Indesign, Photoshop.
  • Used to be working according to deadlines and with time pressure.
  • Team working and communicative.
  • Self-starter with continuous improvement and the commitment to achieve goals.
  • Personal effectiveness, well organized.
  • Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

  • Energetic and enthusiastic, pragmatic, tenacious, with attention to detail.
  • Dedicated to getting the job done, but interested in having 'fun' as well.
  • Interest /Active in the sports that HH is associated with.
