Structural Discipline Lead for the Peregrino II WHP-C Living Quarter (LQ)

?Technogarden is searching for a structural lead engineer to be responsible for the structural discipline and follow up engineering and construction of the Peregrino II WHP-C Living Quarter (LQ) at Stord. Peregrino Phase I has been in production since 2011, and Peregrino Phase II is planned to come on stream by end of 2020. The LQ design for Phase II has six levels and accomodation for 120 persons in 2-man cabins with three lifeboats and a helideck.  The LQ will be about 1,300 tonnes and fabricated in aluminium.

Work description:

• Ensure that LQ structural and material design complies with Brazilian requirements and project specifiations
• Follow up all structural and material activities by LQ EPC Contractor
• Monitor Contractor's engineering and fabrication activities within the discipline with emphasis on quality, schedule, cost efficiency and HSE
• Review selected drawings and documents issued by Contractor
• Participate in engineering and construction reviews to secure feasible and cost efficient design for construction
• Closely cooperate and coordinate with other disciplines
• Handle scope change, quality control including any verification activities, and deviations/non-conformities
• Contribute to internal documentation and life cycle information (LCI)
• Give input to planning and progress reporting, audits and project register
• Implement relevant learnings from previous and ongoing LQ projects

Required competence

• Master or Bachelor in relevant discipline
• Min. 10 years structural experience from project execution, including engineering, procurement and fabrication
• Good structural analysis and design knowledge
• Familiar with recognized structural analysis software tools
• Advantageous with structural experience from living quarter projects and aluminium design
• Materials knowledge e.g. welding, non - destructive testing (NDT)
• Good multidiscipline and interface understanding and experience
• Ability to handle responsibility and high workload
• Strong focus on HSE, ethics and values
• Well-developed teambuilding, collaboration and communication abilities
• Willing to commit to the execution principles forming the basis for Peregrino Phase II (international codes and standards, Gulf of Mexico specifiations and a small, empowered follow-up team)
• Commercial mindset
• Advantageous with previous international project experience, particularly from Brazil or Gulf of Mexico
