We are hiring! NCL seeking Master mariner

NCL is seeking captains for container trade between continental ports and Norway. We are looking for a strong personality with a real “go getter” attitude, is that you?

As captain, you will be an essential part of the daily operation of NCL ensuring vessel is running SAFELY, smoothly, and efficiently. PEC for Norwegian coast and experience sailing in the fjords is a must. PEC for continental port is a great advantage, if not PEC for all areas yet, you must be willing to take the necessary training and exams to acquire this were possible. We offer shorter vessel rotations and great benefits.

Personal requirement:

·      Strong focus on safety for crew, vessel and all parties involved in vessel operation

·      Positive energy and great motivator of crew

·      Strong teambuilding skills

·      Ability to work with mixed nation crew

·      “Hands on” personality that takes interest in all aspects of running a vessel and always looks for possible improvements

·      Ability to handle pressure and act correctly in stressful situations

·      Diplomatic communicator able balance responsibilities between vessel owners and charterer

·      Attention to detail and accurate in reporting

Formal requirement:

·      Valid STCW certificates

·      Minimum 5 years’ experience as master

·      Minimum 2 years’ experience sailing on Norwegian coast

·      PEC Norwegian coast

·      PEC continental ports Rotterdam, Hamburg and Bremerhaven is an advantage. If not currently PEC holder, must be willing to acquire PEC on assigned trade were possible.
