Engine Room Responsible

About the role

Serves primarily as an engine room watch stander. Works under the direction of the Maintenance Engineer in regard to the maintenance department to ensure that operation of all mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, machinery and propulsion plan, as well as all other controlling systems and equipment on the vessel are maintained to the highest level of operational standards.
Responsible for implementing and upholding safety and environmental compliance requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Stand engine room watches and monitor vessel machinery and engineering systems.

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.

• Support the operation and maintenance of propulsion, power generation and auxiliary systems.

• Execute preventive maintenance activities and maintain accurate maintenance records.

• Conduct inspections, identify equipment issues and support root cause investigations.

• Manage spare parts, tools and materials required for maintenance activities.

• Ensure compliance with company procedures, regulatory requirements and environmental standards.

• Participate in emergency response activities, safety meetings and drills.

Our requirements

• Minimum 6 months of experience as a 3rd Engineer or Oiler, maintenance experience in an offshore drilling operation preferred.

• Valid Unlimited Third/Assistant Engineer License (Steam, Gas Turbine or Diesel), where applicable.

• Completion of all training requirements for the position within designated time period.

• Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Strong experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems is required.

• Must have basic Preventive Maintenance Systems knowledge.

• Must have strong experience with mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.

• Complete understanding and use of the Noble Maintenance System.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
