We're hiring a Business Analyst at Viking Outdoor Footwear
Viking Footwear is an established icon in Scandinavian kids' footwear, growing across kids, adult, and specialist outdoor categories — with a strong D2C channel and an expanding international retail partner network.
As we scale, we need someone who can turn commercial data into clear decisions. That's where you come in.
The role
This is a business intelligence role, not data engineering. You'll sit at the bridge between Product, Sales, and Management — owning the analysis, dashboards, and AI-powered workflows that drive go-to-market decisions and retailer performance. You'll be an active participant in planning discussions, not simply a supplier of numbers. Deliverables range from weekly recurring reports to deep-dive analyses triggered by product gates, key account meetings, or strategic questions from leadership. The ability to switch between structured recurring work and unstructured exploratory analysis is essential — and so is the confidence to present findings clearly to both financial and creative audiences.
Own weekly sellthrough reporting across our retail partner network, identifying patterns that inform product and sales decisions
Build pre-meeting briefing packs for key account conversations, combining performance data with clear commercial opportunity
Deliver range efficiency, price architecture, and category trend analysis at each product gate
Lead AI implementation across commercial analytics — applying AI tools daily to accelerate insight and automate recurring workflows
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that give Sales, Product, and Management self-serve access to performance data across categories, channels, and markets
What we're looking for
We're not just looking for someone who produces reports. We're looking for someone who reads a sell through table and immediately asks what it means for the range — who verifies before they publish, flags emerging patterns before they become problems, and can walk a product designer and a CFO through the same finding and have both leave the room knowing exactly what to do next.
5+ years in commercial analysis, business development, or sales analytics
Advanced proficiency in MS Fabric, SQL, Power BI, and Excel
Active, daily use of AI tools in a commercial context — LLMs, agent workflows, and advanced prompting
Fluency in Norwegian and English (German a plus)
Experience in branded consumer goods, footwear, or apparel is a strong advantage
Comfortable presenting complex analysis to Director and C-suite level stakeholders
This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role based at Brynsveien 16b in Oslo, reporting to the CFO. Start date as soon as possible.
