Developer with AI skills, Oslo
Norfund's Tech team is in the middle of an exciting transformation: building AI-powered tools and workflows that make our work smarter, faster, and more impactful.
We are looking for a developer (1–4 years of experience) who is deeply curious about AI — not as a buzzword, but as something you actually explore, experiment with, and get excited about. If you follow the latest developments in tech, if you've built something with an API just to see what's possible, if you've experimented with AI-assisted development workflows — this role is for you.
What you will be doing
You will be part of a small Tech team of five and contribute across the full stack — from ETL pipelines and data modelling to AI-assisted workflows. Day to day, that means:
- Contributing to our AI initiatives — building tools, strengthening governance, and working across the full lifecycle from ideas and prototypes through to deployed solutions that change how we work
- Developing and maintaining our custom app environment, supporting the applications business teams rely on daily, while exploring whether new platforms could serve us better
- Continuously improving our SQL data warehouse and data models, keeping enterprise reporting accurate, well-structured, and ready for analysis
- Building and maintaining ETL pipelines in Azure Data Factory and Databricks
- Working with APIs and integrations to keep data flowing reliably across systems
Who we are looking for
What matters most is that you genuinely enjoy this work and light up when there's something new to explore. More specifically, we are looking for someone who:
- Is curious about AI and keen to use it in their development work — agents, coding assistants, prompt engineering
- Has solid SQL and Python experience, or is actively building it
- Takes ownership, keeps commitments, and enjoys solving problems together
- Is comfortable with experimentation, ambiguity, and iterating toward something that works
- Communicates clearly and documents what they build (English is mandatory, Norwegian is a plus)
- Has a bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, data, or equivalent with a strong academic record
Nice to have
You will encounter and contribute to the following patterns in your day-to-day work, so familiarity with any of these is a bonus: Medallion Architecture (Bronze → Silver → Gold), ETL/ELT pipelines, AI agent orchestration, source control and CI/CD, secrets and access management, REST APIs.
We hire for curiosity and capability, not paper — but if you are looking for learning targets, the Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and DP-700/DP-203 certifications map well to our stack. We support certification goals as part of your professional development.

Why Norfund?
We are a small but ambitious team, and the right person will have real influence over how Norfund uses and implements technology — not just in one lane, but across the full spectrum from governance to hands-on development.
You will work on problems that actually matter, at an organization where technology is increasingly central to how we do our work. You will be based at our Oslo office, where most of the team is, and part of a broader organization of engaged, internationally minded colleagues.
We know that diversity contributes to better results and encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
Please submit your application by CET 23:59 June 3, 2026 by uploading your CV, application letter, grade transcripts, diplomas and other relevant documents.
