Our contribution to society
We are working closely with some of the largest customers in railway infrastructure (Bane NOR) and public transport (Sporveien) in Norway. We are delivering a completely new digital signaling system for the railway, the European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) and for the Oslo metro, Communications-Based Train Control (CBTC), among other projects.
What Your Role Entails
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Commercial Project Manager (CPM) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of mobility. You will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects of customer and supplier contracts, encompassing performance measurement, planning, forecasting and reporting.
As the commercial interface between project financials, operations and strategy, you will drive ambitious goals into tangible, measurable results. We are looking for a proactive professional who demonstrates ownership across the entire value chain and strategically builds relationships to deliver project success.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Manage and optimize targeted financial results including project gross profit, cash flow and assets.
Lead financial planning, forecasting and controlling with precision across project lifecycles.
Identify, evaluate and assess risks & opportunities together with the Project Manager, defining strategies and response activities. Constantly assess risks & opportunities and their impact while proposing measures to prevent negative margin slippage due to risks that could have been avoided.
Drive the realization of opportunities and implement measures together with the Project Manager to improve project performance and ensure project quality and achievement of project goals.
Support the Project Manager on change management issues (variations) relating to project scope.
Strong focus on managing and improving project cash flow.
Regularly report on the project, attend project status meetings and support in preparation of the project budget and forecast.
Promote commercial awareness, influence team to take positive action and assume accountability for assigned work.
Actively communicate with customers’ commercial representatives and manage resolution of commercial issues.
Build and maintain a network to relevant subject matter experts in the organization (e.g., Legal, Accounting and Controlling etc.)
Facilitate effective team collaboration, including in virtual environments and coach team members on commercial best practices.
Regularly perform lessons-learned activities on commercial aspects and feed results into organizational knowledge.
Champion productivity and efficiency initiatives using data-driven insights, digital methods and AI.
To succeed in the role, we believe you have:
Master’s degree within Business, Economics, Finance, or equivalent.
Professional experience in commercial project controlling or financial project management within complex, large-scale project environments, or other similar position.
5+ years preferred experience with proven, documented results.
Solid understanding of project business processes.
Experience from contract management and negotiations is an advantage.
Advanced Excel skills. Experience with Power BI or similar tools is an advantage.
In-depth knowledge of SAP Project Module is preferred.
