Want to lead operational procurement for the aircraft engines of the future?
As a Procurement Operations Manager you will have personnel responsibility for a group handling all direct and indirect procurement and be responsible for optimizing the use of company assets in the acquisition of goods and services within these segments.
You will also formulate short and long-term strategies (locally and contribute globally) to secure contracts (B2B), ensure quality and continuity of supply, while minimizing total cost.
Main duties
Report KPI`s and take appropriate actions
Drive sourcing activities, NPI`s, Contract management and supplier development initiatives
Inventory management
Actively work with continuous improvement activities within the purchase and supply chain function to improve information, processes, product flow and cost optimization (TCO)
Budgetary processes for materials and people
Coach team members & build world class procurement
Other duties assigned by Head of Purchasing and Logistics
Candidate requirements
Engineering degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent) is preferred, but applicants with relevant work experience might also be considered.
Minimum 5 years relevant experience within a manufacturing facility, preferably from the aerospace industry.
Leadership experience/ A demonstrated ability to challenge, develop and improve team members
Computer literate and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Systems and ERP (SAP desired)
Knowledge within casting, forging and machining & fabrication commodities (desired)
Fluent (oral and written) English and Norwegian.
The right candidate must have good interpersonal skills and be able to effectively work and communicate at all levels; both within and external to the organization. The candidate must have the ability to utilize logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems. We also see that the candidate is structured and self-driven with a strong willingness to learn and develop.
Workplace will be Kongsberg, but the position requires occasional international travel.
