About the Role

As an Alignment Surveyor, you will be responsible for the inspection, measurement, and verification of offshore structural alignment and drilling equipment, helping ensure that critical components and systems meet required tolerances, traceability standards, and safe operating conditions.
We are looking for a professional with experience in alignment survey, dimensional control, or 3D scanning. You will be part of NOV SIS - a global team operating across Norway, Singapore, and the UK, delivering specialized services on drilling rigs and offshore assets.

Key Responsibilities
Perform alignment surveys before and after installation, upgrades, modifications, and related service work on offshore drilling rigs, land rigs, shipyards, and workshop facilities involving NOV drilling equipment and cranes
Support mechanical and hydraulic service activities on-site when required
Collaborate with internal departments and supervisors throughout all stages of assignments (before and after execution)
Deliver structured reporting and ensure compliance with NOV quality standards
Follow HSE procedures and contribute to a strong safety culture
Stay up to date with evolving technologies and NOV product portfolio
Travel extensively domestically and internationally, including offshore assignments
Qualifications & Skills
Essential
Technical education or at least 2-3 years of experience with alignment survey, dimensional control and 3D scanning
Ability to work independently, with precision and under time pressure
Experience with ACAD, Microsoft Office tools and Windows-based software
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Offshore and medical certification (or willingness to obtain)
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Preferred
Norwegian language skills
Background in mechanics, mechatronics, hydraulics or similar mechanical disciplines
Rope Access certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience mentoring or leading technical work
Experience with alignment survey and 3D scanning of equipment such as fingerboards, guiderails, and top drives
