DNV Aquaculture and Ocean Health AS is seeking a motivated Team lead for our laboratory in Trondheim, Norway.
The section focuses on identification of marine species and primarily provides services connected to environmental monitoring of aquaculture activities and marine emissions. Team lead will be responsible for operations, finances, and personnel, a unit with 12 employees. The team is one of 7 teams in the section Biodiversity which includes more than 90 experts. The section receives inquiries and samples from Norway and abroad, and project management will be an important part of the job.
Experience from the aquaculture industry and/or environmental surveys will be an advantage. Team lead report to Head of Section Biodiversity and are part of the leadership team.
Key tasks:
Strategic and operational responsibility for managing and further developing the team
Organize, lead, and motivate the employees
Coordinate with other departments and teams in DNV, especially the other environmental teams
Initiate and carry out projects and activities
Budget and performance responsibility
About you:
Relevant leadership experience is an advantage, but a desire and drive for leadership are also important
Relevant higher education, preferably within biology, but other skills or experience can be of interest
Knowledge of the aquaculture industry and environmental surveys in the marine sector is an advantage
Strategic competence and business mindset
Structured, and good computer skills
You are proficient in both Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
You have the ambition to further develop yourself in DNV, both professionally and personally
