As Mediq Norway continues its exciting growth and transformation journey, this role will play a key part in shaping future business performance, driving strategic initiatives, and supporting sustainable profitable growth. The Finance Business Partner (FBP) Norway reports directly to the Finance Director Mediq Nordics and plays a critical role in driving the growth agenda of Mediq Norway to provide greater value to our customers. Additionally, the FBP Norway is also the Finance Business Partner for selected part of the Finnish Mediq Business Unit.
This senior leadership role will act as Site Lead in the Norwegian organization, shaping engagement and culture at Mediq Norway. In close collaboration with Nordic and local leadership, the role strengthens the organization by enabling cross-functional collaboration, driving employee engagement, and building a strong community within a Nordic matrix setup.
The role offers broad exposure across the Norwegian business and the Nordic organization, with significant influence on strategic decision-making, business performance, and future direction.
Key Responsibilities:
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded finance leader who wants to make a real impact in a growing and transforming organization. The FBP Norway supports the business in performance management, provides insight in financial consequences of proposals and decisions, and prepares accountability meetings with senior management, notably the Monthly Performance Review.
Partner with the commercial team, challenging and assisting them based on data-driven financial analysis (ROI calculation, pricing strategy, SKU analysis, etc) to increase profitability.
Drive P&L improvement through performance analysis which leads to new initiative implementation.
Drive revenue growth through market analysis, analyzing market position and involvement in major tender bids.
Assist the commercial team in making decisions based on BI data solutions.
Involvement in potential acquisitions and/or divestments.
Site lead in the Norwegian office.
Requirements:
We are looking for a collaborative finance professional who enjoys working across countries, functions, and stakeholder groups. To succeed in this role, you combine strong financial and analytical capabilities with the ability to influence, challenge, and build relationships in both local and Nordic/international environments.
University degree in Finance/Accounting or Business Economics.
8+ years of experience in commercial Finance organization required, with extensive experience in business partnering with the commercial organization.
Proven capability in facilitating corporate transformation and managing complex stakeholder environments.
Excellent skills in MS Office (Powerpoint and Excel) and experience with AI and BI tools (e.g. MS PowerBI, MS Copilot).
Delivering results, providing the right story and meeting customer expectations .
Commercial acumen, good business sense and drive to make things better.
Strong leadership skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills (Norwegian and English).
