Join the Future of Fossil-Free Aviation
Location: Norway, Germany, Finland | Start Date: as soon as possible | full time | Experience: 5 years
Are you ready to help turn regulation into real-world climate solutions?
At Norsk e-Fuel, we are driving the energy transition in aviation by converting CO₂ and water into synthetic, sustainable fuels. Our ambition is to industrialize power-to-liquid production and replace fossil fuels in aviation; at scale and for the long term.
Founded in 2019, we bring together leading technology innovators, engineers, and industrial partners. Together, we are building a new industry by developing e-Fuel production facilities across the Nordics.
To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Senior Advisor with a strong understanding of regulatory-driven markets ideally with a focus on energy or fuel. In this role, you will bridge policy and business understanding to regulatory frameworks and translate implications into concrete commercial opportunities and value propositions.
What You Will Do
Shape commercial strategies in regulatory-driven markets
Analyze regulatory frameworks, incentives, market developments and compliance mechanisms to refine and build the company’s business case
Translate regulatory impact into product value
Analyze and quantify how different regulatory regimes shape the value of e-fuels and communicate this clearly to different stakeholders
Apply market and regulatory insights to project and investment decisions
Ensure project structures and revenue assumptions reflect market conditions and evolving regulatory frameworks
Engage in EU policy and industry initiatives
Monitor and contribute to relevant platforms and associations (e.g. CO₂ Value Europe, ReFuelEU Aviation-related forums, industry alliances) to stay at the forefront of market developments and impact policy development
Contribute to targeted policy engagement
Support well-positioned, high-impact stakeholder interactions (e.g. consultations, working groups, key meetings) to help shape regulation and public funding mechanisms in line with commercial priorities
Ensure internal alignment
Translate complex regulatory developments into actionable insights for commercial, finance, and project teams
Support fundraising and funding applications
Actively contribute to funding proposals (e.g. EU and national programs) and support the application processes with regulatory and business insights
Support national policy engagement
Link EU policy frameworks to national policies and funding to ensure coherence across levels
What We Offer
Be part of a mission to de-fossilize aviation and contribute to mitigating climate change
Work alongside top experts in project development, carbon capture, hydrogen production, and renewable energy
Enjoy 30 days of vacation (6 weeks)
Benefit from comprehensive personal and travel insurance, including family coverage (applicable when based in Norway)
Take advantage of education and development options for professional growth
Work in modern, collaborative office spaces in Oslo with subsidized lunches
Enjoy the flexibility of remote work options
Be part of a culture of trust that values creativity, innovation, and professional growth, where your work will directly shape our strategy and impact the climate
Being an expert from day one is not expected; there is space for development and growth
Your Profile
5 years of experience in public affairs and policy work, business development, consulting, and/or a related field
Strong understanding of regulatory-driven markets (experience with EU policy frameworks is a plus)
Ability to translate complex regulation into commercial implications and business cases
Excellent communication skills in English (Nordic languages are a plus)
Comfortable speaking in public and presenting to diverse audiences
Experience working with or towards commercial partners and stakeholders across the value chain is an advantage
Proactive, structured and able to manage multiple topics in a dynamic environment
Willing to travel as required for meetings, events and stakeholder engagement
