The Role

As an Operational Engineer, you will play a key role in the Gapit Nordics Operation & Command Center (GNOCC). You will be responsible for handling technical support requests, ensuring compliance with SLAs, and delivering high-quality support to customers and internal teams.
The role combines technical problem-solving, documentation, customer interaction, and participation in on-call duty.

Key Responsibilities

·         Handle technical support requests through internal ticketing systems

·         Provide technical support for customers and internal users

·         Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs)

·         Participate in standby and on-call duty, including potential on-site data center visits

·         Troubleshoot integration, communication, and system-related issues

·         Collaborate with project teams and contribute technical expertise

·         Maintain and update technical documentation and knowledge base

·         Support data center operations and customer environments

·         Proactively contribute to improvements in systems and processes

Candidate Profile

·         Technical education in automation, electrical, or mechanical engineering

·         Experience with BMS or similar industrial/technical systems

·         Understanding of ITIL framework and ticket-based support

·         Experience with ticket systems (e.g. Zendesk or similar)

·         Knowledge of networking principles and protocols

·         Experience with system integration and industrial protocols (e.g. Modbus)

·         Ability to document solutions and create knowledge base content

·         Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

·         Good communication skills in English (written and spoken)
