Project Leader – Rig & Marine

 In Norway, Semco Maritime AS is located at Hanøytangen and in Stavanger, where we run our Service & Maintenance department, Rig Tech department and our manpower company. At Hanøytangen we work with rig maintenance and maritime projects while taking an active role in the green shift by developing energy storage and hybrid systems. Our Yard includes several service quays and Northern Europe’s largest dry dock. At other on- & offshore locations we perform service, maintenance and installation work for our international customers.

The position reports to the Head of Projects, and you will be based in our office at Hanøytangen, with some expected project related travelling.

Your tasks & responsibilities 

As a Project Leader, you will be responsible for managing projects or specific scopes according to agreed budget, plan, and quality, and to the satisfaction of our customers. The projects typically involve maintenance and modification tasks on ships and drilling rigs. They cover all disciplines and project phases, and the Project Leader will be involved already from the tender phase.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

• Initiating projects defined in alignment with main stakeholders

• Executing projects and implementation ensuring coordination and completion of technical projects, delivering the needed technical solutions

• Updating and informing the key people on project progress and that they are kept up to date with relevant information at all times

• Identifying and driving opportunities to improve the business

• Alignment of priorities related to defined business criteria like safety, financial impact, costumer requirements and risks

Your profile and qualifications:

You can establish thrust with customers, employees and externals.

To succeed in this position, we expect that you have the following qualifications:

• Solid technical education and understanding

• Commercial mindset

• At least 5 years of experience as a Discipline Lead or Project Leader

• Experience from MODU or marine projects

• Able to manage projects larger than 50 MNOK

• Able to manage both technical and financial risk

• Advanced Norwegian and English level, both written and verbally

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

• Service minded
