Are you Devold’s new Sustainability Coordinator?
With over 170 years of responsible production behind us, sustainability is a natural part of Devold’s DNA. To ensure we continue to deliver at a high standard as requirements evolve, we are seeking a Sustainability Coordinator to manage the implementation of Devold’s sustainability strategy, coordinate existing sustainability processes and help translate ambition into action across the organization.
Purpose of the role
Devold has been crafting premium wool garments since 1853, built on quality, durability and responsible production. Sustainability is not new to us, but the expectations, regulatory requirements and documentation demands are evolving rapidly.
The Sustainability Coordinator will play an important role in strengthening and professionalizing our sustainability work. The position contributes structure, quality and consistency across processes, reporting and documentation, and acts as a central point of contact internally and towards the Fenix Outdoor Central CSR team. This role turns ambition into structured execution and supports continuous improvement across the value chain.
This role will report to the Fenix Outdoor Global Sustainability Director.
Key responsibilities
- Act as Devold’s main point of contact for sustainability matters – internally and towards external partners
- Coordinate sustainability initiatives according to Devolds sustainability agenda 2030 across functions, locations and the value chain, ensuring clear ownership and structure
- Secure high-quality data collection, reporting and documentation in line with regulatory and Group requirements
- Maintain overview of certifications and compliance processes, ensuring relevance and business alignment
- Translate sustainability requirements into practical actions and clear communication for Marketing, Sales and other key functions
- Contribute to strengthening Devold’s sustainability position in tenders, customer dialogues and external communication
Profile we are looking for
You are structured, proactive and comfortable navigating complex information and stakeholder landscapes. With strong coordination and communication skills, you are able to translate sustainability requirements into practical, business-relevant actions.
You likely have:
- Relevant higher education within sustainability, environmental management or similar
- 1–3 years of relevant experience (consulting, reporting, compliance, ESG, quality, supply chain or similar). We also welcome applications from recent graduates who demonstrate strong motivation and the ability to work in a structured and independent manner.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail
- The ability to work independently while coordinating across functions
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
What we offer
- A central role in strengthening sustainability within a premium brand with over 170 years of heritage
- Close collaboration with a highly competent international sustainability team, offering strong learning and professional development opportunities
- A cross-functional role with broad exposure across the value chain and direct impact on business decisions
- Short decision-making paths and the opportunity to influence how sustainability is structured and implemented
- Competitive terms and a purpose-driven work environment
Location: Langevåg
The application deadline: 31 March. We review applications on an ongoing basis and encourage early submissions.
