Key tasks and responsibilities:
Drilling:
- Develop and optimize well designs, drilling programs, and operational sequences to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective well construction.
- Lead technical planning and cross-disciplinary coordination for well projects, including risk assessments, performance optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide real-time operational support, follow up rig activities, and implement engineering solutions to minimize non-productive time and enhance drilling performance.
- Ensure compliance with NCS regulations, industry standards, and internal quality requirements through robust engineering practices, documentation, and learning from experience.
Subsea:
- Lead engineering and operational support for subsea production systems, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant performance on the NCS.
- Develop subsea system solutions and specifications to meet project requirements
- Develop and review subsea procedures, installation plans, and integrity strategies to maintain system reliability and minimize operational risk.
- Provide technical troubleshooting and risk assessments, and collaborate across disciplines to optimize subsea operations and project execution.
- Provide management and oversight of subsea equipment and installation contracts
Subsurface:
- Use your expertise to analyze reservoir behavior and contribute to safe, efficient extraction methods.
- Apply advanced subsurface, reservoir, and production expertise to evaluate assets, reduce uncertainty, and support value-driven decision-making.
- Integrate geological, geophysical, petrophysical, and engineering data into robust models and analyses across the field life cycle.
- Collaborate closely with Drilling, Production, and Operations teams to identify risks, optimize performance, and support safe, efficient execution.
P&A:
- Early phase well mapping and P&A strategies
- Detailed planning and execution follow-up ensuring safe and regulatory-compliant well abandonment projects.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in your respective field (Drilling, Subsurface, or P&A)
- MSc Degree within relevant technical discipline
- Proficiency in industry-standard drilling, subsurface, reservoir (e.g. Petrel, Techlog, Eclipse, Landmark, CMG, WELLPLAN, WellView).
- Fluency in English both spoken and written
- Previous experience from the Norwegian Continental Shelf is a big advantage
