About the position
As a company highly evolved from its origin of purely making mechanical products, Rheinmetall Nordic is now highly dependent on the many technical disciplines working very well together during product engineering and product development phases before successful handovers are done to production in-house or at supplier locations.
Test and Verification play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of current and future projects at Rheinmetall Nordic. As a Test and Verification Engineer, you will work closely with—and report to—the Test and Verification Management in your daily tasks.
In this role, you will collaborate extensively with Systems, Software, Mechanical, Electro, Electro‑Optics and System Dynamics engineers throughout the projects, as well as with production engineers and technicians in the production environment.
The work of the role is to a high degree tied to the at any times the valid technical requirements according to contractual obligations in the projects.
For test environment and daily work, a variety is to be expected, including a certain share of field testing and participation in environmental test programs which are typically conducted partly in in-house and partly at external test houses in the region.
The ability to understand the holistic view from customer requirements, via engineering and development phases until delivery to production is a strength however not mandatory for the role.
Both recently educated persons and persons with a high level of working experience are welcome to apply.

Preparation of test and verification activities.
Execution of test and verification procedures.
Documentation and reporting of test and verification results.
Development of software systems test scenarios and procedures.
Execution of software system tests.
Documentation and reporting of software system test outcomes.
Engineering‑level testing across relevant components and systems.
Formal requirements‑based testing and verification.

Engaged and capable within test and verification, with experience from system, sub‑system or component level.
Communicates clearly and works well with others, contributing positively to team dynamics.
Technically skilled and able to navigate and learn complex systems effectively.
Comfortable and passionate about working in a cross-disciplinary environment, including working together with systems engineering, mechanical, software, electro, electro-optical, electro-mechanical, system dynamics engineering, and with production engineers and technicians.
The ability to see the holistic view and the relevant context from the customer’s point of view in the daily work. Including understanding to some extent typical use cases in the end user environment.
Experience with defense‑relevant European and American environmental qualification standards (AECTP and MIL standards) (preferably).
Experience from the defense industry (preferably).
Formal technical bachelor, or above (preferably).
Recently educated or with high level of working experience (both appreciated).
High level of competence in Azure DevOps environment for software test development, conduction and reporting.
Location
Nøtterøy until summer 2026, then newly renovated offices in Skoppum, Vestfold, Norway.
