Senior Intervention Engineer

This position is part of the Intervention and Stimulation Alliance in the Drilling & Wells department. We have the responsibility for planning safe and cost-efficient wireline, coiled tubing, and pumping intervention operations.
This position acts as a project manager for the well intervention operations (CT and WL jobs). The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of safe and cost-efficient intervention programs consistent with Aker BP HSSE policy and regulatory requirements. Once jobs are in the operational phase, this position is onshore liaison and coordinator during execution in collaboration with D&W Operations Manager and Alliance partners.
Typical work tasks can be:
Lead job planning, perform risk assessments, provide technical support, and ensure proper experience transfer within well intervention projects including CT, WL, and pumping operations.
Support the well intervention team throughout the project by monitoring activities, identifying and handling non-conformances/management of change, establishing efficient lines of communication and promoting consistent distribution of information with all stakeholders in the project.
Actively use Alliance partners, digitalization, Lean and flexible business models as tools to improve planning.
Contribute to the improvement strategy by actively seeking new improvements, taking ownership of and executing initiatives, and being an active user of digital tools
Keep updated about new equipment and new working techniques, and ascertain implementation of this when necessary for the accomplishment of cost-efficient wells
Skills and qualifications:
Master's degree in engineering or similar. Relevant hands-on experience may compensate for education.
More than 5 years experience within well interventions (preferably wireline and/or coiled tubing)
Technical training / competency relevant for discipline and position
Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Norwegian competency a benefit
