Take the Lead: Build and Grow Nordic Flow’s Operations Department
Nordic Flow is developing its operations organisation and is seeking an Operations Manager to lead and further develop its offshore services activities. The role includes commissioning and service work, primarily within offshore wind and oil & gas. We are looking for a hands-on and highly adaptable Operations Coordinator who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Our installations are spread across multiple time zones, and critical offshore operations do not follow regular business hours. It is therefore essential that the right candidate is flexible, solution-oriented and comfortable handling urgent situations under pressure. This role will work closely with our Service Partner in Stavanger, as well as with our Aftermarket team, since much of the operational and commercial work is interconnected. The position also holds responsibility for invoicing towards customers for all operational activities.
The Operations Manager will be responsible for planning and executing offshore campaigns, and over time building an operations organisation that supports the company's continued growth. The position requires solid offshore experience and close collaboration with clients, partners and internal departments.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support operational activities across multiple time zones
- Work closely with our Service Partner in Stavanger to ensure smooth execution of service operations
- Follow up on critical offshore issues and ensure customers receive quick acknowledgment -- even when the full solution requires more time
- Collaborate extensively with the Aftermarket team, ensuring operational and commercial alignment
- Handle invoicing and commercial follow-up related to operational tasks
- Support planning, documentation and reporting related to installations and service jobs
- Maintain close communication with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous process improvements across operations
The department is expected to grow over time, and additional responsibilities will be added as the company develops.
Qualifications- Fluent in English (Norwegian is an advantage, but not required)
- Experience from operational coordination, offshore services, maritime, energy or similar fields is beneficial
- Strong commercial understanding and ability to balance operational and business needs
- Comfortable working under pressure, especially during critical equipment failures
- Hands-on mindset with the ability to adapt quickly and take initiative
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Structured, reliable and able to follow up multiple parallel activities
- Flexible and proactive -- understands that the operational world does not always fit into a standard 8-16 schedule
- Customer-oriented, with the ability to maintain calm and control in high-pressure situations
- Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively
- Takes ownership and responsibility for delivering high-quality work
- A key role in a growing Norwegian company
- Opportunity to influence and develop the operations function
- Professional follow-up, mentoring and competence development
- Office location in Asker, with flexibility for remote work (preferably on the west coast of Norway)
- Competitive and favourable employment conditions
