Purpose and Scope:
Support acquisition projects from bidding to execution related to discipline responsibility.
Provide day to day vessel support for assigned vessels.
Follow up rollout and testing of new equipment or software.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the vessel being operationally ready for the given acquisition project regards Navigation functionality and project deliverables
For the vessels assigned, responsible for the Streamer and UHR acquisition projects and crew having the required navigation support
Equipment responsible and supplier engagement for assigned hardware and software (as DGNSS HW and Orca INS)
In charge of inventory control and invoicing for assigned hardware and software
Follow up bid reviews, current analysis and infill prediction in a timely manner
Involvement in internal technical projects as required
Key Competencies and Skills:
Equivalent to Master or Bachelor engineer degree related to discipline responsibilities
Minimum 5 years offshore experience with marine seismic acquisition navigation
Excellent communication skills (in English, verbal and written)
Manage tasks within given time frame
Technical skills to be able to identify problems and solves them in a timely and efficient manner, take responsibilities and ownership of tasks
Good knowledge to GNSS, acoustic positioning and heading sensors
Ability to learn new skills and adopt to new tasks
Good knowledge and understanding of assigned responsibility areas
Ability to manage high workload by staying organized and working efficiently
Key Performance Metrics:
Deliver on department goal for the standardization of technologies, processes, and procedures related to the responsibility area
Deliver on the vessel being operationally ready for the given acquisition project regards Navigation and positioning functionality and project deliverable
