HR Advisor
Do you want to build your HR career in an international shipping company where structure, quality, and professionalism are at the core?
Gearbulk is seeking an HR Advisor who will play a key role in delivering efficient and high-quality HR processes across the employee lifecycle. You will work closely with managers and employees across the organization and gain broad exposure in a global maritime business.
This is a hands-on and independent role where you will develop strong ownership of core HR processes while building valuable experience in an international environment.
Your Role
As HR Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting and executing daily HR operations across several core areas. You will work both administratively and in an advisory capacity, with particular focus on recruitment, onboarding, HR compliance, and maintaining structure in our HR systems.
You will report to the HR Manager and act as a reliable HR partner and support function for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Lead recruitment processes from A to Z
- Partner with hiring managers to define needs and prepare job advertisements
- Manage screening, interviews, offers, and contract drafting
- Ensure a professional and structured candidate experience
HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle
- Coordinate and continuously improve onboarding and offboarding processes
- Prepare and maintain employment contracts and HR documentation
- Follow up on absence and support managers in employee-related matters
- Contribute to smooth and efficient HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle
Compliance & Best Practice
- Ensure compliance with labor law, internal policies, and relevant agreements
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and assess implications
- Contribute to maintaining and improving HR policies and procedures
Systems & Quality
- Maintain and ensure quality of employee and absence data in our HR system (myGoals)
- Support HR reporting when needed
- Contribute to efficient and structured use of HR tools and systems
You will also support the HR Manager in initiatives related to employee engagement and continuous improvement of HR processes and structures.
Who Are You?
We are looking for a structured and motivated HR professional who enjoys operational responsibility and delivering high-quality work.
We believe you have:
- A bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2-4 years of experience within HR
- Solid understanding of labor law and HR compliance
- Experience working with HR-systems
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
