Student Engagement - Finance

Do you want a part-time job where you can contribute to cost-efficient management of the world’s largest sovereign wealth fund? We are looking for a talented student for a part-time job in the Financial Control and Reporting team. The team is responsible for budgeting, control and reporting of costs for the Government Pension Fund Global, as well as IFRS financial reporting.

The position provides a unique opportunity to learn about the fund, working within a team of highly-skilled professionals. The position is 40%, which means that you will work at Norges Bank Investment Management up to two days a week. You will have a flexible working time arrangement throughout the year so that work can be combined with studies. The position has a duration of one year, with the possibility of extension. You will also have the opportunity to participate in project-based work both throughout the year and during the summer holidays.

What you will do

You will have a broad range of tasks, including:

• Assist with routine tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation, and follow up of invoices

• Follow up ad-hoc questions from the organisation

• Assist with statutory- and tax reporting to overseas authorities, including VAT

• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and improvement initiatives

• Streamline and automate routine task using technology and AI

What you need

• You are a master’s or final year bachelor student in finance or related field with strong academic records

• Very strong IT skills including Excel and other analytical tools, with a keen interest to learn in this area

• Experience with programming (SQL, Python etc.) and analytical tools such as Tableau/Power BI

• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Norwegian
