We are now entering an exciting growth phase and experiencing increasing demand for our products. To support this expansion, we are looking for a new colleague to join our office at Ryen in Oslo.
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join our small, dedicated team of embedded programmers and system developers. You will work primarily with embedded Linux applications and play a key role in the development and improvement of complete sensor systems—from user experience and integration with vessel systems to the fine details of sensor performance in demanding maritime environments.Key Responsibilities
- Develop software in C++, Qt, and C# for embedded and web‑based systems
- Contribute to new development, architecture, and concept design, as well as improvements and bug fixing
- Design and implement features with associated testing and documentation
- Work in a structured manner with CI/CD, DevOps, and agile processes
- Perform code reviews, unit testing, and verification
- Contribute as a technical resource and support other developers in the team
Qualifications
- Education in software development/IT or equivalent relevant experience
- Min 5 years experience with embedded development and object‑oriented programming (C++, Qt, C#); low‑level programming is an advantage
- Experience with CI/CD, unit testing, and DevOps
- Ability to see the big picture—from technology and architecture to user experience
- Experience with technical responsibility and coordination in development projects is an advantage
- Very good English language skills and willingnes to learn Norwegian
