Helly Hansen is looking for a Retail Marketing Specialist - Global
The Retail Marketing Specialist will be accountable for developing a sell-in and sell-through marketing toolbox that fuels the growth and visibility of Helly Hansen across wholesale, key accounts, partner, and shop-in-shop (SIS) environments globally. This role ensures our brand is consistently and powerfully represented in every touchpoint—supporting commercial objectives while creating meaningful consumer experiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Execution
- Lead the development and global rollout of seasonal wholesale toolkits and guidelines to drive sell-in and sell-through and to support and direct in-season regional in-store excellence.
- Champion the brand across diverse retail formats including SIS, shop-in-shop, and multi-brand spaces—ensuring consistency, elevation, and relevance.
- Collaborate with the Retail Brand Experience team to design and implement consumer-first in-store campaigns that build awareness, inspire purchase, and deepen brand connection.
- Develop and activate global showroom, sales meeting, and tradeshow experiences—bridging brand storytelling with commercial objectives.
Support & Collaboration
- Serve as the go-to marketing contact for regional sales and marketing teams across wholesale, SIS, and key account partners.
- Co-create seasonal SIS buying plans and visual merchandising strategies that balance brand integrity with retailer needs.
- Act as a strategic liaison between internal cross-functional teams (brand, category, product, planning, creative) and external stakeholders.
Visual Merchandising & Brand Presentation
- Drive the global VM strategy for partner and wholesale environments, creating scalable concepts for seasonal rollouts.
- Develop and manage a flexible SIS toolbox adaptable to regional needs and retail formats.
- Facilitate hands-on showroom and SIS setup, training and onboarding sessions to align execution with brand standards.
Planning & Optimization
- Lead planning for seasonal launches including trade shows, sales meetings, SIS rollouts, and in-store activations.
- Lead planning for agile retail moments, including pop-ups and events.
- Monitor performance of in-store and SIS programs, capture best practices, and optimize toolkits based on feedback and retail performance.
- Ensure seamless ordering and fulfillment of seasonal POS materials globally.
- Plan Sales Meeting, showroom and trade show set ups for both HH Sportwear and HH Workwear.
- Plan seasonal in-store support programs for wholesale and SIS.
- Plan and provide seasonal training on visual merchandising for the sales force.
EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED
- 5+ years of experience in DTC or retail marketing, ideally within global premium, or outdoor/lifestyle brands.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of wholesale environments, key account marketing, and shop-in-shop dynamics.
- Proven success delivering compelling brand experiences in multi-brand and partner-driven retail ecosystems.
- Strong leadership ability with an eye for design and styling, with demonstrated success in visual merchandising, innovation and implementation.
- Hands-on experience in visual merchandising and in-store storytelling with a strong ability to communicate ideas and lead from conception to implementation and lead VM trainings and workshops.
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent project management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Fluent in English; confident in presenting, training, and influencing across cultures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
