We are looking for a Workshop Foreman to join our TCP team
In this position you will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the TCP Gun Shop Norway (Bue), ensuring compliance with Archer and legal requirements through tasks involving logistics support, system follow-up, and administration. You will oversee daily workshop operations and workflow and ensure compliance with workshop procedures and safety regulations. You will also be responsible of maintaining a high standard for quality, documentation, and performance to ensure that the base is always operated in accordance with internal requirements, legal regulations, and valid approvals.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate, and motivate the team to maintain consistent productivity
- Ensure all shifts are organized to meet operational requirements, including cooperation with other WT roles.
- Ensure all shipments and accompanying documentation comply with internal and external requirements.
- Being superuser and ensure high data integrity, organized documentation, and adequate user training for all TCP/DG related systems
Planning and Operational Support
- Coordinate closely with the TCP Project Team to ensure efficient workflow and resource utilization, equipment availability.
- Maintaining sufficient but healthy inventory for both short- and long-term operational needs.
- Monitor the status of incoming and outgoing jobs, ensuring timely updates in customer-related system.
- Responsible for keeping document handling and inventory systems up to date.
Facility Management
- Maintain control and documentation of equipment certifications (e.g., lifting equip., cranes, forklifts).
- Register and follow up on deviations related to buildings and facilities
- Ensure compliance with regulations governing the storage and handling of explosives.
- Ensure all operational activities are carried out in accordance with valid permits and approvals.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a candidate with a certificate of apprenticeship as a mechanic or equivalent, preferably with 4-5 years of experience from the oil and gas industry with strong leadership and planning skills.
You have a positive and ambitious attitude, are a strong team player with good communication skills, and possess solid technical and mechanical understanding.
You handle critical situations in a safe and responsible manner, maintain a strong focus on quality and safety, and thrive both independently and as part of a team.
Preferably you also have experience with TCP/Explosives and execute a professional attitude toward explosive handling, logistics, and safety requirements.
Strong computer skills, especially with MS apps and relevant programs is needed.
