Helly Hansen is looking for a Chief Accountant Nordic

The Chief Accountant Nordic will be responsible for accounting in the Nordic countries, working closely with Finance Controller, Group Finance and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The position will report to the Finance Director Europe.

• Key tasks and responsibilities
• • Overall responsible for accounting for Helly Hansen in Norway including Export, Sweden, Denmark and Finland
  • Hands-on work with complex accounting areas and monthly closings
  • Responsible for relevant Key controls and reconciliations
  • Partnering with Controller on cost variances
  • Reporting of VAT, Intrastat, SSB
  • Partnering with external payroll provider
  • Work with external audit, and internal audit
  • Leadership and development of subordinates
  • Contribution to cross boarder projects related to finance, accounting and tax
  • Continue to develop and improve the Helly Hansen accounting structure together with the Finance teams

• The Ideal Candidate will have
• • Experience and “hands-on” knowledge from various ERP and accounting systems (Infor M3 ERP and SAP, BlackLine, Costar, eye-share, in addition to good excel knowledge)
  • Solid accounting knowledge with minimum 5+ years relevant hands-on experience preferably in an international setting
  • Experience with US Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX)
  • Proven ability to lead and develop an accounting team
  • Ability to see opportunities for streamlining and automating tasks
  • Degree in business and administration, specialising in accounting/finance or equivalent
