CloudBrothers is expanding our datacenter team in Norway, and we’re looking for 2 skilled Data Center Technician for 6-months on a 24/7 rotation with possible extension to support and scale our next-generation hyper scale infrastructure for Glomfjord site.

🔧 What You’ll Do

• Maintain and monitor datacenter infrastructure (servers, networking, storage, power, cooling).

• Perform hardware installations, upgrades, patching, cabling, and decommissioning.

• Troubleshoot hardware, network, and software issues to ensure uptime.

• Support migrations, new service rollouts, and redundancy models.

• Conduct inspections and maintain compliance with safety, security, and environmental standards.

• Keep documentation up to date (rack layouts, cabling maps, configurations, inventories).

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency.

🎯 What We’re Looking For

Required

• Proven experience in data center operations and infrastructure management (2+ years preferred).

• Strong troubleshooting abilities across hardware, networking, and operating systems.

• Hands-on experience with server hardware (Dell, HPE, etc.) and familiarity with common OS environments.

• Cabling and cable-management expertise, including installation, labeling, and structured cabling standards.

• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals — Top of Rack switches, Routers, OOB management, etc.

• Proficiency in providing technical support for data center systems and hardware.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and clear, effective communication.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms 

• Scripting and automation skills 

• Experience with monitoring and DCIM tools 

• Strong understanding of data center power, cooling, environmental systems, and cabling standards.

• Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Server+, or VMware VCP.

• Experience working with hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).

• Experience using ticketing and workflow systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Slack).
