Guest Operations at Scale
Oslofjord Convention Center is one of Northern Europe's largest and most advanced meeting and event destinations. With accommodation, venues, restaurants and services gathered in one integrated destination, OCC has the capacity to host up to 9,000 guests. The operation is characterised by high operational complexity, multiple disciplines and significant variations in activity levels driven by events and seasonality.
We are now establishing a new role as Front of House & Service Manager, with overall responsibility for front-of-house, group booking and event-related guest operations at Oslofjord Hotel.
The role
This is a senior operational leadership role at the heart of the guest journey. You will ensure seamless experiences from arrival to departure, act as a key customer interface towards event activities, and take clear ownership of the guest-facing operations. The role reports to the Acting Hotel Director.
You will combine hands-on leadership with development responsibility, with strong presence in guest areas and close engagement with teams during live operations and events. You will also play an important role in identifying synergies across the organisation to enhance the overall guest experience.
Key responsibilities
- Leadership of front office, group booking and event-related guest operations
- Ownership of the guest journey, including complex group arrivals and departures
- Close collaboration with event, sales and venue teams
- Building and anchoring a strong service culture through training and daily leadership
- Handling VIP guests, escalations and service recovery
- Continuous development of routines, standards and digital solutions
Who this role could suit
This role will appeal to someone with experience from hospitality, venues or other service-intensive environments where volume, logistics and guest expectations must be managed simultaneously. You are a visible and confident leader, motivated by developing people, culture and service quality in practice.
Why consider this opportunity?
This is a chance to take ownership of a central function in a highly distinctive hospitality environment, with significant exposure and potential development toward broader leadership responsibility over time.
Practical information
The role is based at Oslofjord Hotel. Working rhythms vary with events and seasonality, with periods of high intensity balanced by more predictable phases outside peak periods.
The recruitment process is supported by Personal Utvelgelse (PU). Candidates are welcome to contact Vegard Berg (vb@pu.no, +47 994 42 155) for an initial and confidential dialogue if they have questions regarding the role or the opportunity.
Applications from interested candidates are encouraged.
